Astonishingly, the range of what is considered horizontal violence is vast, and these aggressive acts are revealed in several forms. Some violence is unmistakable such as threatening, name calling, criticizing, or public humiliation; however, other acts are less obvious such as withholding information, eye rolling, silence, and isolation (Becher Visovsky, 2012). Digital Economics Transformation of Global Business

Question: Discuss anout the Digital Economics for Transformation of Global Business. Answer: Introduction The present research study aims to develop an understanding of the growing trend of Uber services among the international students. In this context, the present research proposal provides a brief discussion of the overall research process that will be carried out in the main research work. Research Topic and its Business Significance The present research will be carried out on the topic Growing trend of using Uber services among international students. The research topic is highly significant due to increasing usage of cab services across the world by the people who possess limited options of transportation or do not want to drive by themselves. This research will provide an in-depth understanding of the reasons of the increasing usage of Uber services among the international students. The different types of taxicab services are providing are interesting opportunity for easy travel solutions to such people. In this context, the present research will seek to explore the integration of Uber into the industry of taxicab services .The concept used by Uber is highly convenient for the individuals who are using its ridesharing services. Uber has launched its own app that allows people to book cab for their destination point easily through the use of their mobile phones. The taxicab booked through the app reaches to the users within seconds to conveniently help them to get to their destination point (Dwyer, 2015). Brief Literature Review According to Steinberg (2012) there is increasing trend of taxicabs across metropolitan areas as they provided easy travel solutions to working class of people. The growing concept of ridesharing has revolutionised the taxicab industry as its applications are becoming easier and convenient to get rides in an untraditional manner. The users can easily download the apps in their mobile phones that allow them to take ride according to their needs anytime. Uber has also integrated the concept of ridesharing in its business model for providing easy transportation services to its users. Uber was established in the year 2009 in California as a transportation network company and initially implemented the concept of using licensed taxi drivers for providing ridesharing services to the users. The company later transformed its business model for incorporating the use of non-taxi driving rideshare services. This was done mainly by the company to utilise the concept of mobile application for prov iding a platform to the passengers to direct connect with the drivers of vehicles. The passengers can book the cab from Uber through the mobile application and this also allows them to easily track the location of their vehicle throughout the journey. The drivers within a network use luxury vehicles such as Escalades, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benzs etc for providing transportation services to the passengers. The transportation services as such provided by Uber provide easy travel solutions to the people who do not possess their own vehicles for transportation (Steinberg, 2012). As per the views and opinion of Christensen (2016) the major benefit provided by Uber to the passengers is providing affordable taxicab services. Uber provides transportation services to the people at very reasonable prices so that working class of people can easily utilise such services for resolving their transportation problems. Uber has re-invented its business model to match the changing needs of people in metropolitan areas regarding transportation services. The company places greater emphasis on providing quality services to the customers through offering them convenient ride and also offering varying forms of payments. The company allows passengers to pay the bill through credit cards for providing them easy ride. In addition to this, the company is also providing jobs for drivers and as such it creates employment for the people who are facing difficulty to find work in the city. The company adopt the use of varying channels for promoting their services among the people throu gh conducting various events. This is done through giving community free rides and conducting host awareness meetings for providing information to the people regarding their services. Also, the company is adopting the use of social media channels such as Twitter for spreading awareness regarding their taxicab services for increasing their customer base (Christensen, 2016). Ford (2015) stated that the international students are also increasingly adopting the use of Uber services for transportation due to its affordable prices and convenient ride. The company has maintained the fare for rides affordable to the international students despite of the increasing demand of its services across the world. The students can easily resolve their transportation problem through booking a taxicab from Uber through the use of mobile application and see the appearing of car within minutes before them. Thus, Uber has re-invented and introduced its taxicab services for meeting the changing needs and expectations of the passengers successfully (Ford, 2015). Research questions for the identified problem or opportunity The present research study will seek to answer the following research question What is the perception and usage level of Uber services among international Students? In addition to this, the research study will also explore the following sub-research questions: Why there is growing trend of Uber Services across the world? What are the major success factors contributing to Uber growth internationally? What are the different benefits provided by Uber Services to the international students? Appropriate research methodologies and techniques to use for the research project The research methodology is a very prominent section of the research study as it provides a direction to the overall research process. It organises and conducts the overall research work for achieving a specific answer for the research question (Jackson, 2008). The present research study will incorporate the use of qualitative research methodology for developing an answer to the research problem. Qualitative research methodology involves the collection of both primary and secondary data for evaluating the research topic. Primary data consist of collecting the information about the research topic that is not previously available through the use of quantitative techniques. Secondary data involves collection of information that is already widely available through the use of literature sources for supporting the findings of primary data (Miles, ,Huberman and Saldana, 2013). In this context, the present research will involve the use of exploratory research design to investigate the resear ch topic properly through the use of both primary and secondary sources of information. Also, the present research will implement the use of deductive top-down approach to carry out the overall research process. Deductive approach is referred to as top-down approach as it moves from general topic to more specific one through the application of appropriate research tools (Gliner Morgan, 2000). Project plan using a Gantt Chart clearly defining milestones Research objectives Time Scale Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 to 8 Week 9 to 11 Week 12 to 14 1 Defining Research Aims and Objectives 2 Preparation of questionnaire 3 Collection of information through conduction the survey 4 Collecting information from the secondary sources of data 5 Completion of Literature Review 6 Application of Research Methodologies 7 Completion of data analysis section 8 Recommendation and overall opinion (Final Submission) Description of the research process The research process details out the various steps involved in carrying out the overall research (Crowther Lancaster, 2008). The various steps involved in the present research study are as follows: Introduction: This is the first chapter of the research study that involves developing a research problem that the research study will seek to address. It will provide a general introduction of the research topic and will specify the aims and objectives of the research study. Literature Review: This involves collecting information about the background of the research problem through developing literature review in order to analyse the research topic in detail. It involves selection of literature sources that contains wide information about the research topic. Research methodology: This involves defining the research methods that will be used for carrying out the overall research process. The defining of a specific research methodology is essential in order to provide guidance to the overall research process. The research methodology defining the research design that will be used for conducting the research study. Also, the research methodology section of the research will provide knowledge regarding the research approach that will be used for conducting the research work. It will provide in-depth information regarding the nature of collecting primary and secondary data for the purpose of carrying out the whole research study. Data Analysis: The data analysis section of the research study will incorporate the use of specific technique for analysing the primary and secondary data collected in the research study. It will analyse and examine the primary and secondary data collected through the use of graphical technique for developing a specific answer for the research problem. Conclusion and Recommendation: The last chapter of the research study will summarise the overall findings obtained from the research study and provide a series of recommendations for carrying out the study in future in this context. Data Collections and Analysis Methods In this section collection and actual gathering of data from various sources is done through applying various research methods. In this section various tools and techniques are used for the collection of data and it is converted into information through using the data analysis methods. With the help of appropriate research methods both primary and secondary data can be collected. There are two main data collection methods: Primary data collection and Secondary data collections. Both of these methods provide necessary information that helps to evaluate the research question and provide the valuable judgment (Jackson, 2008). Primary methods of data collection are important sources for information and helps in evaluating the research question. The various primary methods of data collection are interview, questionnaire, survey etc. In this particular research work questionnaire will be used as primary method of data collection as it helps in providing detailed information from the respondents that actually helps in creating the opinion on the research we are carrying out (Kimmel 2007). Questionnaire is most used and well detailed method of data collection that allows respondents to clearly express their views on the particular questions that have been put on questionnaire. As per requirement close ended questions are being put on the questionnaire and send to the selected respondents so they can express their views on particulars questions that will help to evaluate the research questions and make an opinion in conclusion section (Denzin and Lincoln 2000). The major advantage of this method of data collect ion is that it provides satisfactory information on the each research questions that have been defined and all the information generated through use of this method is genuine and purely unused. The main disadvantage of this method is that it is time consuming and involves high cost (Karami ,2007). Secondary methods of data collection are also widely used in any research work as it contains views of previous researchers and scholars (Johnson and Duberley 2000). The major sources of secondary data are books, journals, work of previous researchers etc. All this sources of data can be located from libraries and also from online sources. This method of data collection is easy to use and involves less time and cost. Data analysis is the most important part of any research work as it helps in providing the essence of research to make an opinion on each research questions. In this research work, various statistical methods will be used to evaluate the primary data and to draw the conclusion (Hendricks 2011). In this research work graphical method will be applied to judge the replies from respondents and to make the necessary judgments on research questions. Description of expected research outcomes The present research study will help in gaining an appropriate understanding regarding the factors responsible for increasing usage of Uber services on a global level. The research study will explore the main reasons that are enhancing the use of Uber services in working class of people. The research study specifically provides an answer to the perception and usage of Uber taxicab services among the international students. The research study will provide an insight to the readers about the various benefits of using Uber services for resolving their transportation problems. References Christensen, J. 2016.
